We have completed numerous turnkey deliveries for the process industry, such as material transfer devices, containers, work platforms, and walkways. Drive rails for an intermediate thickener´s pulling car at Elementis’ plant
We provided new drive rails and a pulling car for the intermediate thickener at Elementis Minerals’ talc plant in Outukumpu.
Collaboration began in late summer 2020, when Elementis noticed the need for new drive rails and a pulling car for its intermediate thickener at its Outokumpu plant, as the existing ones were nearing the end of their service life. We drew up a preliminary design that was used as the basis to manufacture new rails, and created an installation plan to implement the project.
Modernisation of the largest conveyor at Yara’s mine area
A KA1160 conveyor deployed in the late 1970s at Yara’s Siilinjärvi mine required modernisation as it was still using the original drive gears and power transmission.
We implemented a modernisation project from mechanical engineering to installation. The KA1160 transports crushed stone from the gyratory crusher to a day silo, from where it is transported using a conveyor to a fine crusher.
A train wagon towing device for Kraton’s factory
We designed, manufactured and installed a train wagon towing device for Kraton Chemical Oy’s factory in Oulu. The turnkey delivery also included electric automation and excavation work.
We designed and manufactured the towing, or winching, device and its steel structures, such as the draw line’s drums, dolly and cable track. We also manufactured a protective shelter around the device. The turnkey delivery also included the planning of excavation and casting work, as well as the dimensioning of the winch site.
A railroad wagon unloading station to Mussalo Harbour
The railroad wagon unloading station manufactured by Simetek allows for the flow of goods transported by Rauanheimo to be processed at Mussalo Harbour in Kotka. The station is part of significant investments aimed to drastically increase traffic at the harbour.
We were responsible for the project’s mechanical engineering, the manufacturing of steel structures, and the installation of the equipment. We also manufactured and installed a shelter to protect the equipment.
